**NEW DELHI, May 7, 2025** – India launched “Operation Sindoor” early this morning, carrying out a series of precision strikes targeting nine locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir (PoK). The operation is a direct response to a deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India, on May 7, 2025, which killed 26 civilians, including 25 Indians and one Nepali national.
