**THOOTHUKUDI, May 7, 2025** – The Vidhayakartha (temple administrator) of the Tiruchendur Subramaniyaswamy temple has petitioned for a change in the timing of the upcoming consecration ceremony. Initially scheduled for 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on July 7th, the Vidhayakartha now argues that a time slot between 12:05 p.m. and 12:47 p.m. would be more auspicious, based on the recently released vakya panchangam (almanac). The request has been formally submitted to the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Trust Minister P.K. Sekarbabu and the department’s Secretary and Commissioner. The Vidhayakartha had previously proposed two morning time slots, but the authorities selected one before the almanac’s release.
