Wed May 07 09:10:00 UTC 2025: ## India Cancels Flights Following Military Strikes in Pakistan

**New Delhi, India** – Several major Indian airlines have cancelled numerous flights to and from airports in northern India until May 10th, following the Indian military’s “Operation Sindoor” strikes in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The operation, launched in response to a recent deadly terror attack, resulted in the temporary closure of several airports.

Air India and IndiGo have cancelled flights to and from multiple airports, including Srinagar, Jammu, Amritsar, Leh, and others. Both airlines are offering passengers full refunds or rescheduling with waived fees for affected flights. SpiceJet has also cancelled flights to several northern airports on May 7th, while Akasa Air has cancelled all Srinagar flights.

The cancellations, impacting both domestic and some international flights, are in response to directives from aviation authorities. While the initial cancellations for some airlines were announced for May 7th, they have since been extended to May 10th. The affected airports experienced temporary closures due to the heightened security situation following the military operation. Passengers are advised to check with their airlines for updates and reschedule their travel plans accordingly.
