**Hyderabad, Telangana, May 7, 2025** – Several flights to and from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Hyderabad were cancelled today following India’s military operation, ‘Operation Sindoor’, in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). The early morning strikes resulted in the temporary closure of multiple airports across northern India, causing widespread disruption to air travel.
IndiGo reported the cancellation of 16 flights to and from Hyderabad, while Air India Express cancelled two. Air India announced the cancellation of all flights to and from several northern cities, including Jammu, Srinagar, and Amritsar, until 12 noon. Two international flights bound for Amritsar were diverted to Delhi. SpiceJet also reported closures in several northern airports, warning of potential delays and cancellations.
Airlines attributed the disruptions to changing airspace conditions and restrictions imposed following the military action. Passengers are advised to check their flight status before traveling. The extent of further disruptions remains unclear pending updates from authorities.
