ERODE, Tamil Nadu – Erode district received a boost to its public transportation system today with the launch of nine new Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) buses. The new vehicles, costing ₹3.96 crore (approximately $478,000 USD), were flagged off by Collector Raja Gopal Sunkara at the Corporation Central Bus Terminal. A total of 65 new buses have been allocated to the Erode region, including 59 regular buses, five town buses, and one smaller bus designed for hilly terrains. These buses will service various routes across the district, improving connectivity for residents. The event was attended by local officials and legislators.
