**Puducherry, India (May 7, 2025)** – A large-scale civil defence mock drill was conducted near Puducherry Airport on Wednesday, simulating responses to potential emergencies amidst rising tensions with Pakistan. The exercise involved volunteers from the Civil Defence Force, NCC cadets, NSS students, police, fire brigade personnel, and civil officials.
The drill focused on preparedness for various scenarios, including self-protection, evacuation procedures, first aid administration, and emergency management in a potential war-like situation. The district administration and the Air Force coordinated the event. District Collector A. Kulothungan, Senior Superintendent of Police (Law and Order) Kalaivanan, and Senior Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Praveen Kumar Tripathi were present to oversee the exercise.
