BLACKSBURG, VA – Metallica brought their M72 World Tour to Lane Stadium Wednesday night, treating fans to a high-octane performance. The highly anticipated concert saw thousands of fans descend upon the venue, with organizers urging attendees to arrive early to avoid delays.

Lane Stadium, operating as a cashless venue, required all ticket holders to utilize digital tickets via the HokieSports app. Fans were advised to download tickets in advance and familiarize themselves with the entry process, which included magnetometer screening and bag checks. Separate entry points were designated for field-level and seating bowl ticket holders.

Parking, while pre-purchased options were sold out, was available on a limited basis for $50 via the ParkMobile app. Those with pre-purchased parking were instructed to display their digital parking pass via email. ADA parking with shuttle service was also available.

Merchandise was available at stands outside and inside the stadium.

The concert featured opening acts Suicidal Tendencies and Pantera, leading up to Metallica’s headlining performance. Stadium policies, including restrictions on large bags, coolers, and outside alcohol, were strictly enforced. Alcohol sales were limited to two drinks per person with valid ID and ceased at 10 p.m.
