**Chennai, May 7, 2025** – A 30-year-old woman, Revathi, was murdered by her husband, P. Raghu, in Thiruvottiyur on Tuesday night following a domestic dispute. Police reported that the argument stemmed from unpaid loans. Raghu, an alcoholic contractor, allegedly stabbed Revathi with a kitchen knife after a heated argument while intoxicated. He then attempted suicide. Raghu is currently hospitalized at Government Stanley Hospital, while Revathi’s body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
