Tue May 06 18:55:52 UTC 2025: ## EPFO Launches “PRAYAAS” Initiative for Faster Pension Disbursement
**Chennai, May 7, 2025** – The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) launched its new “PRAYAAS” (Prioritizing Pensioners) initiative today, aiming to expedite pension payments for retiring members. The initiative ensures that retiring members of the Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS) receive their pension payment orders (PPOs) on their retirement day.
As part of the launch, Regional PF Commissioner-I Renu Ramachandran distributed PPOs to April 2025 retirees in Royapettah. Assistant PF Commissioner (Pension) Bipin Kumar and Nodal officer (Prayaas) S. Senthilvel were also present at the event. This streamlined process is expected to significantly reduce delays in pension disbursement for retirees.
