**Philadelphia, PA – [Date of Publication]** – The home of the Philadelphia Flyers and 76ers will be getting a new name, effective September 1, 2025. Comcast Spectacor and Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment (HBSE) today announced that the South Philadelphia arena will be renamed Xfinity Mobile Arena through the 2030-2031 season.
The multi-year deal will see Xfinity Mobile, a rapidly growing wireless service, become the naming rights partner. As part of the agreement, Xfinity Mobile will upgrade the arena’s WiFi capabilities, providing fans with high-speed internet access throughout the venue at no extra cost to Xfinity Mobile customers. This enhanced connectivity aims to improve the fan experience, allowing for easier sharing of photos and videos.
“Philadelphia is home to the most passionate fans in the country,” said Steve Croney, Chief Operating Officer, Connectivity & Platforms, Comcast. “Xfinity Mobile’s supercharged WiFi will give our Philadelphia fans an unrivaled experience.”
The arena, which opened in 1996, has undergone a $400 million transformation, upgrading fan amenities, technology, and sustainability. It hosts over 220 events and 2.5 million guests annually, including Flyers and Sixers games, concerts, and other major events.
“This arena is an anchor in South Philadelphia,” said Dan Hilferty, Chairman & CEO of Comcast Spectacor. “We are committed to continuing investing in our venue…We couldn’t be more excited that Xfinity Mobile’s brand will become the centerpiece for sports and entertainment in Philadelphia.”
The partnership also includes exterior and interior branding, advertising opportunities, and official partnerships with both the Flyers and the 76ers. Installation of new signage is set for September 2, 2025. A separate naming rights deal for a new arena, opening in 2031-2032, will be announced later.
