**Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, May 6, 2025** – Three people were killed and several cattle injured by lightning strikes following unseasonal rains and thunderstorms in Maharashtra’s Marathwada region on Monday, May 5, 2025. The victims, identified as Ashok Mhaske (22), Sachin Magar (35), and Abhimanyu Nalbhe (36), perished in separate incidents in Beed and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar districts. The casualties were confirmed by a revenue department official. Further incidents of lightning striking cattle were reported in Jalna and Parbhani districts.
