Tue May 06 11:21:10 UTC 2025: ## BJP MP Accuses Karnataka of Negligence in Deporting Pakistani Nationals
**Shivamogga, Karnataka, May 6, 2025** – B.Y. Raghavendra, the BJP Lok Sabha member for Shivamogga, has accused the Karnataka state government of negligence in deporting Pakistani nationals following the recent Pahalgam terror attack. Raghavendra claims that while BJP-ruled states swiftly followed central government directives to identify and return Pakistani citizens within 48 hours, non-BJP states, including Karnataka, have been lax in their response.
He alleges that these individuals may have entered India illegally or for purposes such as business or medical treatment. Raghavendra urged the Karnataka government to identify and deport all Pakistani nationals within 24 hours and appealed to the Governor to intervene. The BJP plans to submit a memorandum to the Governor on May 7 following a signature campaign on the issue. The press conference was also attended by BJP MLA S.N. Channabasappa. The Karnataka government has yet to respond to these accusations.
