Tue May 06 04:00:29 UTC 2025: ## Rajasthan BJP Leaders Attend Gujarat Governance Camp Amidst Opposition Criticism

**Jaipur, Rajasthan – May 6, 2025** – The entire Rajasthan BJP government, including Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and key ministers, is currently attending a three-day training camp in Kevadia, Gujarat, focused on the “Gujarat model” of governance. The camp, which began Monday evening, will cover topics such as good governance fundamentals, internal party discipline, public engagement, and election management strategies. Union Ministers Amit Shah, J.P. Nadda, and others are expected to address the attendees.

The absence of the Rajasthan government officials has temporarily halted routine state operations. This prompted criticism from the opposition Congress party, with Leader of the Opposition Tika Ram Jully questioning the need for such a camp after a year and a half in power, suggesting the government was “untrained” and would be controlled from Gujarat. Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot echoed this sentiment, criticizing the timing of the camp given Rajasthan’s current challenges with water and power shortages. He described the trip as “fun and frolic” while citizens suffered.

The BJP maintains the camp aims to improve governance and prepare for upcoming local body elections. The party plans to use the Gujarat model, which has enjoyed continuous BJP rule since 1995, as a blueprint for Rajasthan. The training sessions will also focus on strengthening grassroots presence and evaluating ministerial performance.
