**New York, May 6, 2025** – Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan made his highly anticipated debut at the Met Gala 2025, captivating the audience with a striking all-black ensemble. Khan’s appearance marked a significant moment for Indian cinema at the prestigious fashion event.

The superstar sported a floor-length black trench coat over an unbuttoned shirt, a creation by renowned Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. He accessorized the look with substantial jewellery, including choker chains, diamond-studded pendants bearing “K” and “SRK” initials, and a collection of extravagant rings. A tiger-topped walking stick completed the charismatic look.

Images shared by Khan’s manager, Pooja Dadlani, on Instagram, offered a sneak peek before his grand arrival. On the blue carpet, Khan posed for photos, smiled, waved to enthusiastic fans, and even performed his signature pose.

This year’s Met Gala, themed “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” celebrated the history and cultural significance of Black style through the lens of dandyism, inspired by Monica L Miller’s book *Slaves to Fashion*. The dress code, “Tailored for You,” referenced the menswear featured in the exhibition—a first for the Met Gala in over two decades.

The event was co-chaired by a star-studded lineup including singer Pharrell Williams, actor Colman Domingo, F1 champion Lewis Hamilton, rapper A$AP Rocky, Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, with basketball legend LeBron James serving as honorary co-chair. Gala committee member Usher described the theme as both timely and representative of a rich culture deserving of widespread celebration. The Met Gala showcased a historical examination of Black style from the 18th century to the present day.
