**Salem, May 6, 2025** – A 32-year-old man, Rajkumar, has been arrested for the murder of his 48-year-old uncle, Manivannan, in Kolkaranur Kattuvalavu near Mecheri. Police say the murder stemmed from a land dispute between the two men. Rajkumar allegedly attacked Manivannan with a wooden log on Sunday night. Manivannan succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday after being treated at a private hospital in Salem. Mecheri police have registered a case and Rajkumar is currently in custody.
