**Kalaburagi, Karnataka, May 6, 2025** – A 25-year-old woman, Asharani, was found strangled to death in her Rajapur Colony home on Monday. Police have arrested her husband, Siddaram Mailapur, on suspicion of murder. According to police, the couple, married for 14 years, had a history of arguments. A heated dispute on Monday culminated in Siddaram strangling his wife while she slept. Following a complaint from Asharani’s family, Gulbarga University Police Station officers responded, recovered the body, and took it for post-mortem examination before arresting Siddaram. The investigation is ongoing.
