Tue May 06 02:50:00 UTC 2025: ## CBS’s “Watson” Renewed for Season 2 Ahead of Explosive Two-Part Finale
**New York, NY** – CBS’s medical detective drama, *Watson*, has received an early Season 2 renewal, the network announced today. The news comes just days after the cancellation of its Sunday night partner, *The Equalizer*, adding to the excitement surrounding *Watson*’s upcoming two-part finale.
The finale, titled “Your Life’s Work,” begins Sunday, May 4th at 9 p.m. ET on CBS and streams the next day on Paramount+. The gripping two-part event will see the team facing a sinister plot orchestrated by Moriarty, resulting in several members falling ill. Showrunner Craig Sweeny described the finale as “a big case procedurally…it pays off the storyline of what Moriarty has been doing with the clinic, and it pays it off in a scientifically accurate but also very scary way that feels like science fiction.” He emphasized the high stakes, noting that “everything is on the table” for the main characters.
Actor Peter Mark Kendall, who plays the twin brothers Adam and Stephens Croft, expressed his relief and excitement at the renewal, stating, “getting that news is such a relief. It’s such excitement.” The finale’s preview shows one of the Croft twins seemingly unconscious in a hospital bed, raising questions about their survival.
Sweeny explained the necessity of a two-part finale, stating, “Of all the two partners I’ve done, none demands two parts more than this one…It also brings all of the relationships that we’ve built up over the course of the season into high relief, and everybody feels tension, and some of them survive, some of the relationships survive, and some of them don’t.”
*Watson*’s Season 1 finale concludes on May 11th. Both parts will be available to stream on Paramount+.
