**New Delhi, [Date]** – The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for several states in India, advising residents to exercise caution due to the potential for hailstorms, thunderstorms, and strong winds.

The IMD’s alert, shared on X (formerly Twitter), specifically mentions Assam, Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Karnataka, and parts of Uttarakhand as areas at risk. Wind speeds of up to 50-60 km/h are anticipated in these regions.

Separate alerts highlight a high risk of dust storms and thunderstorms in Punjab (Orange alert), as well as a yellow alert for rain in 20 districts of Uttar Pradesh, including Prayagraj and Lucknow. Jharkhand is also under an alert for thunderstorms and rain.
