Bengaluru, May 4, 2025 – Over 1.4 lakh students in Karnataka are set to take the Undergraduate National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (UGNEET) on Sunday, May 4th, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. This year’s exam, administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA), sees a nationwide registration of 23 lakh students. The pen-and-paper (OMR-based) exam will be held across 381 centers in Karnataka.

Strict security measures are in place. Candidates will undergo mandatory frisking with metal detectors, and are prohibited from bringing any electronic devices, textual materials, or other unauthorized items into the examination hall. This includes, but is not limited to, mobile phones, watches, and even certain types of clothing. Candidates wearing religious or cultural attire are advised to arrive two hours early to allow for thorough security checks. Shoes are not permitted; only slippers or sandals with low heels are allowed.

Candidates must bring their admit card (with a photograph affixed), a passport-size photograph for the attendance sheet, a postcard-size photograph, a valid government-issued photo ID (original, not a mobile phone scan), and any necessary disability documentation.
