**Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, May 4, 2025** – Anantapur police arrested three individuals on Sunday for allegedly placing bets on Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket matches. The suspects, identified as Syamala Rajasekhar, Pemmaka Sudheer Reddy, and Pemmaka Bhaskar Reddy, were operating from a house in Kallur village. Police seized ₹4.02 lakh (approximately $4,900 USD) and three mobile phones. The accused are charged under the Andhra Pradesh Gaming Act. Authorities allege the group used betting apps to place their wagers.
