VIJAYAWADA, May 4, 2025 – Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications, Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, today praised the resilience of women entrepreneurs, emphasizing that success requires not only innovative ideas but also unwavering determination. He made these remarks while inaugurating ADITRI, a rural entrepreneurship initiative launched by SRM University-AP.
The event saw the launch of 100 women-led startups, with the Minister presenting machinery and certificates to the participating entrepreneurs. He highlighted the availability of government schemes like MUDRA, Lakhpati Didi, Startup India, and Stand-up India, along with digital platforms, as valuable resources for women entrepreneurs to expand their businesses. He also noted the role of self-help groups (SHGs) in providing both community support and income opportunities.
SRM University-AP’s Vice-Chancellor, Manoj K. Arora, and other university officials were present at the launch. The Minister commended the university for its support of women entrepreneurs.
