**New Delhi, May 4, 2025** – The Border Security Force (BSF) apprehended a Pakistani Ranger along the India-Pakistan border in Rajasthan on Saturday, May 3rd, officials confirmed. This incident follows the apprehension of an Indian BSF jawan, Purnam Kumar Sahu, by Pakistani Rangers on April 23rd in Punjab. Despite India’s protests, Pakistan has refused to return Sahu. The recent events come amidst heightened tensions between the two countries following a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed the lives of 26 people, mostly tourists. The apprehended Pakistani Ranger is currently in custody.
