HYDERABAD, Telangana – Stringent security measures are in place across Telangana for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2025, scheduled for May 4th. Over 72,000 candidates are taking the exam at 190 centers statewide.
The state government has implemented a three-tier security system for candidate entry, including biometric attendance recording and CCTV surveillance. Candidates are permitted entry from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with thorough frisking and identification checks mandatory. Strict rules govern allowed items, with a specific dress code in place. Prohibitory orders banning assemblies and the operation of photocopy centers and cyber cafes near exam centers are also in effect.
Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao reviewed preparations, emphasizing a smooth and transparent exam process. District Collectors and Superintendents of Police conducted final center inspections on Saturday. The exam, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), determines admission to undergraduate medical courses.
