LAS VEGAS – Former Playboy model and reality TV star Holly Madison is sounding the alarm about the dangers lurking beneath Hollywood’s glamorous facade. In an interview with Fox News Digital, Madison, host of Investigation Discovery’s “The Playboy Murders,” detailed her experiences and warned aspiring models of the potential pitfalls.
Madison, who spent years living at the Playboy Mansion, described Hollywood as having a “dark underbelly” filled with “leeches” looking to exploit vulnerable young women. She recounted encountering everything from street pimps to individuals involved in sex trafficking. While she initially found the Playboy Mansion to be a relatively “safe” environment compared to the streets of Los Angeles, her perspective has evolved.
Season 3 of “The Playboy Murders” premieres Monday, and its first episode focuses on the death of Kimberly Fattorini, a Playboy casting associate. Fattorini’s death, attributed to a combination of alcohol, cocaine, and GHB, is the subject of an ongoing wrongful death lawsuit. Madison revealed that she was contacted by Fattorini’s friends, who urged her to include the case in the series.
Madison’s own experiences, detailed in her 2016 memoir “Down the Rabbit Hole,” shed light on the emotional and verbal abuse she endured. She now advises aspiring models to maintain close, supportive friendships outside of Hollywood, conduct thorough research, and learn from cautionary tales.
While acknowledging the complexities of holding Playboy accountable for the actions of individuals associated with the brand, Madison stressed the need for someone to be held responsible for Fattorini’s death and similar tragedies. She emphasized that high-stakes environments like the modeling industry often involve significant risks, including jealousy and possessiveness.
Madison, who now lives in Las Vegas with her children, stated that participating in “The Playboy Murders” has been a healing process, allowing her to share her truth and connect with other women who’ve faced similar challenges. She hopes the series will empower others to come forward and speak out. “The Playboy Murders” airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on Investigation Discovery.
