**Stamford, CT – May 3, 2025** – Basketball Hall of Famer and 10-time NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony will be joining NBC Sports as a studio analyst, the network announced today. Anthony’s new role will begin in October, coinciding with the NBA’s return to NBC and its debut on Peacock.
The announcement was made during an interview with Ahmed Fareed at the Kentucky Derby. Anthony, a 19-season NBA veteran known for his time with the Denver Nuggets and New York Knicks, will bring his unique perspective to NBC Sports’ NBA coverage. His impressive career includes numerous accolades, such as an NBA scoring title, selection to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and three Olympic gold medals.
“Watching the NBA on NBC growing up shaped my love for the game,” Anthony stated. “I’m thrilled to join the NBC Sports family and bring fans a fresh perspective.”

Anthony’s role will involve studio appearances one or more nights a week throughout the regular season and playoffs. He joins a growing roster of NBA analysts at NBC Sports, including Jamal Crawford, Reggie Miller, Mike Tirico, and Noah Eagle. The network’s expanded NBA coverage is part of an 11-year agreement between NBCUniversal and the NBA, which will also see exclusive Monday night games on Peacock and national coverage of Tuesday and Sunday night games across NBC and Peacock.
