**Ramban, Jammu and Kashmir, May 4, 2025** – Three Indian Army personnel died in a tragic accident on Sunday when their vehicle plunged into a deep gorge in Ramban district, Jammu and Kashmir. The army truck, part of a convoy traveling from Jammu to Srinagar on National Highway 44, skidded off the road near Battery Chashma around 11:30 a.m.
The soldiers, identified as Sepoys Amit Kumar, Sujeet Kumar, and Man Bahadur, were killed instantly. Their vehicle was severely damaged in the 700-foot fall. A joint rescue operation involving the army, police, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and local volunteers was launched to recover the bodies from the gorge. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
