NELLORE, Andhra Pradesh – Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav announced a significant investment in healthcare infrastructure improvements across the state, with a particular focus on addressing chronic illnesses. The announcement followed an inspection of the Allipuram Primary Health Centre (PHC) in SPSR Nellore district on May 3rd, 2025.

During the visit, Yadav inaugurated two new dialysis centers in Vinjamuru and Podalakuru, stating they would provide crucial care for kidney disease patients. He highlighted the need for improved infrastructure at the Allipuram PHC, estimating the cost at ₹1.25 crore. MP Beeda Masthan Rao immediately pledged ₹30 lakh from MPLADS funds, with the Minister promising to cover the remaining costs from departmental funds.

Addressing a critical shortage of medical staff, Yadav revealed plans for large-scale recruitment across the state’s medical and health departments. This initiative follows the identification of numerous vacancies during a review of 17 teaching hospitals. He also announced plans to establish 100-300 bed hospitals in each constituency through public-private partnerships (PPPs).

The Minister’s visit underscored the state government’s commitment to improving healthcare access and quality, emphasizing collaboration between government bodies and local representatives to achieve better health outcomes for the people of Andhra Pradesh.
