Sat May 03 01:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Michigan State Spartans Face Grueling Road Schedule in 2025-26 Big Ten Season

**EAST LANSING, MI** – Michigan State University’s men’s basketball team will face a challenging road schedule in the 2025-26 Big Ten season, the conference announced Tuesday. The Spartans’ road slate includes tough matchups against Purdue, Wisconsin, and Nebraska, where they will play their only games against those opponents. The schedule also features return trips to the Pacific Northwest to face Oregon and Washington, after hosting them this past season.

Adding to the difficulty, MSU will play home-and-away games against Indiana, Michigan, and Rutgers, presenting Coach Tom Izzo with three more daunting road tests in his 31st season. The Spartans’ toughest challenge may be conquering Purdue at Mackey Arena, where they haven’t won since 2014. Their record against Rutgers on the road is also a concern, with three losses in the last four meetings.

While avoiding a challenging trip to Los Angeles this year, MSU will host both USC and UCLA, after suffering losses to both teams this past season. The Spartans will also face a tough test in Bloomington, Indiana, where they have a poor all-time record against the Hoosiers.

The full schedule with dates will be released later this summer or early fall. However, this challenging road schedule promises a tough but exciting season for the Spartans.
