Fri May 02 19:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Nani’s ‘HIT: The Third Case’ Scores Biggest Opening in Franchise History

**Hyderabad, India** – Sailesh Kolanu’s “HIT: The Third Case,” starring Nani, has achieved a phenomenal box office debut, raking in ₹18 crore net in India on its opening day. This marks the highest opening day collection for any film in the HIT franchise, significantly surpassing the previous installments. The film also boasts one of Nani’s biggest openings, closely trailing his 2023 release, “Dasara,” which garnered ₹23.2 crore on its first day.

Trade website Sacnilk reported a strong 87.82% occupancy rate, peaking at 92.37% during afternoon shows. This success eclipses the opening day collections of Nani’s other films, including “Ante Sundaraniki,” “Hi Nanna,” and “Saripodhaa Sanivaaram.”

Thrilled with the film’s reception, Nani took to Instagram, describing the box office performance as “MAYHEM” and expressing gratitude to his fans. The film follows SP Arjun Sarkaar (Nani) as he investigates a series of murders with a chillingly similar pattern across the country, featuring cameos from previous HIT characters and setting the stage for a fourth installment.

While praised for Nani’s performance and engaging cameos, Hindustan Times’ review noted that the film, while brilliant in parts, also contains moments of predictability. Nevertheless, “HIT: The Third Case” has undoubtedly made a powerful start, solidifying its position as a major box office contender.
