**Bengaluru, May 3, 2025** – Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameshwara has pledged a swift and decisive response to the murder of Suhas Shetty in Dakshina Kannada district on Thursday night. Four special police teams have been formed to apprehend the perpetrators, regardless of their political affiliation, the Minister assured.

While acknowledging the recent return to normalcy in Dakshina Kannada and Mangaluru following previous incidents, Minister Parameshwara stated that Shetty’s murder and a recent mob lynching have disrupted the peace. He appealed for calm and announced the deployment of additional police forces and the ADGP (Law and Order) to the region to prevent further violence.

The Minister rebutted accusations from the opposition BJP, who claimed that Hindu activists are unsafe under the Congress government. He countered by questioning whether Congress party members are not also Hindus. The investigation into Shetty’s murder is ongoing.
