**BIRMINGHAM, AL —** Alabama Power announced today the appointment of Stacey Turner as its new Vice President of Environmental Affairs, effective immediately. Turner brings extensive experience in environmental law and policy to the role, strengthening the company’s commitment to environmental compliance and stewardship.

Turner joins Alabama Power from Southern Company Services, where she served as associate general counsel for Environmental Policy and Litigation. Her career also includes legal work at Georgia Power and experience at the Morris, Manning & Martin law firm in Atlanta. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School, a master’s degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Florida.

In her new position, Turner will oversee all aspects of Alabama Power’s environmental compliance, strategy, stewardship programs, and operations. This appointment underscores Alabama Power’s continued focus on environmental sustainability as a key component of its business strategy.
