**SANTA CLARA, CA** – The San Francisco 49ers announced Friday the signing of tight end Ross Dwelley to a one-year deal. Dwelley returns to the team after spending the 2022 season with the Atlanta Falcons.

Dwelley, a familiar face in the 49ers locker room, spent six seasons with the organization before departing for Atlanta. While with the Falcons, he appeared in all 17 games, contributing one reception for five yards on 105 offensive snaps and recording one special teams tackle.

His previous stint with the 49ers saw significantly greater production, with 44 catches for 518 yards and five touchdowns. He now rejoins a tight end room that includes George Kittle, Luke Farrell, Brayden Willis, Jake Tonges, and Mason Pline. The team currently holds a 90-man roster.
