**Seoul, South Korea (October 27, 2023)** – Rain is expected across most of South Korea on Saturday, October 28th, according to the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA). The precipitation will continue until the afternoon, with a mix of rain and snow possible in some mountainous areas of Gangwon Province.

The KMA forecasts rainfall amounts ranging from 5-10mm in the Seoul metropolitan area and Gangwon mountain regions, 5-20mm in Daejeon, Sejong, and Chungcheong provinces, 10-40mm in Gwangju and Jeonnam province, 5-30mm in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam province, 5-20mm in Daegu and Gyeongbuk province, and 5-10mm in Ulleungdo, Dokdo, and Jeju Island.

Strong winds, with gusts up to 55km/h, are anticipated mainly along the southern coast and Jeju Island, prompting warnings for potential damage to infrastructure.

Despite the rain, temperatures are expected to remain around or slightly below average for this time of year. Highs are forecast to reach 14-19°C. Air quality is expected to be good to moderate nationwide. The KMA advises residents to take precautions against strong winds and potential flooding.
