
Fri May 02 15:57:31 UTC 2025: ## Karnataka’s RTE Students Achieve 75.57% Pass Rate in SSLC Exams
**Bengaluru, May 2, 2025** – The first batch of students admitted under the Right to Education (RTE) Act of 2009 has achieved a 75.57% pass rate in the SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) examinations, according to Karnataka’s School Education and Literacy Minister Madhu Bangarappa.
Of the 25,453 RTE students who appeared for the exams, 19,235 passed. Bengaluru South and North districts had the highest number of RTE students taking the exam, with 2,164 and 1,769 students respectively. Minister Bangarappa highlighted the impressive performance of some students, noting that five achieved 624 out of 625 marks, and approximately 50 scored above 620.
This marks a significant milestone for the RTE program, which saw 80,000 students enrolled in private schools in 2012-13. The results showcase the progress made by students admitted under this initiative.
