Fri May 02 05:57:24 UTC 2025: ## India’s Visa Revocation Sparks Humanitarian Concerns from Pakistan
**Amritsar, India – May 2, 2025** – Pakistan has accused India of creating a humanitarian crisis after India revoked the visas of Pakistani citizens following a terrorist attack in Kashmir. The move led to the closure of the Attari-Wagah border crossing on May 1st, stranding numerous Pakistani nationals, including patients seeking medical treatment and families separated by the closure.
The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) spokesperson, Shafqat Ali Khan, stated that the decision is causing significant hardship, with reports of patients being forced to return to Pakistan without completing their treatment and families being separated. While the border was open until April 30th, the Indian government issued ‘Leave India’ notices to Pakistani nationals in response to the April 22nd Pahalgam terror attack, which killed 26 people.
Although the MFA spokesperson confirmed reports of stranded Pakistanis at the Attari border, they expressed hope that India would allow them to cross. Pakistan reiterated that the Wagah border will remain open for its citizens in the future. The situation remains tense as both nations grapple with the aftermath of the attack and its humanitarian consequences.
