**Cape Canaveral, FL** – SpaceX successfully launched 28 more Starlink V2 Mini internet satellites on May 1st, marking the first of several anticipated Falcon 9 missions this month. The launch, designated Starlink 6-75, lifted off from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station at 9:51 p.m. EDT. Spaceflight Now provided live coverage of the event.
Weather conditions were exceptionally favorable, with the 45th Weather Squadron forecasting a greater than 95 percent chance of success. The Falcon 9 booster, B1080, made its 18th flight, achieving another successful landing on the droneship “Just Read the Instructions” approximately eight minutes after launch. This marks the 118th landing on that vessel and the 440th successful SpaceX booster landing overall.
This mission adds to the more than 7,300 Starlink satellites already in orbit, expanding SpaceX’s global internet coverage network. The reusable nature of the Falcon 9 booster highlights SpaceX’s commitment to cost-effective space travel. The company is also heavily involved in lunar exploration programs, with proposed lunar lander concepts currently under development.
