**Friends of Gujarat (FOG) Telugu Group Hosts Successful Ugadi Celebration**

**Mountain House, CA [Date of Release]** – The Friends of Gujarat (FOG) Telugu group celebrated Ugadi, the Telugu New Year, with a resounding success at the Sree Vijaya Ganapathi Cultural Center in Mountain House. The event, organized by FOG Telugu Chairperson Jo Sharma under the leadership of FOG Founder Dr. Japra, featured traditional performances, a delicious dinner, and a vibrant fashion walk.

The celebration, which attracted a full house, included traditional elements such as Om chanting, cultural dances (including performances by teenage girls dressed as Telugu “inti ammayilu”), classical Bharatanatyam, and devotional songs. A cooking competition added to the festive atmosphere, with many delicious dishes, including authentic Ugadi Pacchadi, served for dinner. Participants received certificates and trophies.

Several sponsors contributed to the event’s success, including Tondamanati Jewelers (sponsored by Swathi Tondamanati, a FOG Telugu Director and key organizer), Katha Munch, and American4Hindus (A4H). A4H representatives, including founder and chairman Dr. Japra and spokesman Sundeep Deswal, were present and promoted the organization. Collaboration extended to numerous Telugu Bay Area organizations such as Silicon Andhra, MATA, and Global Telangana GTC.
