**WASHINGTON, D.C.** – Chris Krebs, the former director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) under President Donald Trump, has had his Global Entry status revoked. Krebs, who publicly affirmed the security of the 2020 election, believes this action is further retribution from the Trump administration.

Krebs received notification of the revocation via email on Wednesday. Global Entry, a program administered by US Customs and Border Protection, provides expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers entering the United States.

This latest action follows Trump’s earlier removal of any remaining security clearances held by Krebs and an order for a Justice Department investigation into the former official. While Trump claims to know little about Krebs, he has previously labeled him a “disgrace” and “terrible.” These actions are seen as a direct consequence of Krebs’s outspoken defense of the 2020 election results, which contradicted Trump’s claims of widespread fraud. The former president’s actions have drawn criticism, with some pointing out the hypocrisy of punishing Krebs for actions he accuses the Biden administration of.

The White House and Department of Homeland Security have yet to comment on the revocation of Krebs’ Global Entry status.
