Fri May 02 01:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Tough Big Ten Slate Awaits Nebraska Women’s Basketball in 2025-26
**Lincoln, NE** – The Nebraska Husker women’s basketball team will face a challenging 2025-26 season, featuring a demanding schedule brimming with NCAA Tournament-caliber opponents, the program announced Wednesday. The 18-game schedule includes six home Big Ten games against teams that qualified for the 2025 NCAA Tournament: UCLA, USC, Iowa, Maryland, Illinois, and Indiana. Their remaining home Big Ten matchups will be against Rutgers, Purdue, and Northwestern.
The road schedule is equally formidable, with six away games against 2025 NCAA Tournament qualifiers: Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Oregon, and Washington. The Huskers will also travel to Minnesota, Penn State, and Wisconsin. The Oregon and Washington games mark Nebraska’s first regular-season Big Ten trips to those schools.
This challenging schedule follows a successful 2024-25 season which saw Nebraska finish with a 21-12 overall record and a 10-8 Big Ten mark. The team reached the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive year.
Nebraska returns a strong core of players, including 2025 Big Ten All-Freshman and honorable-mention all-conference point guard Britt Prince, and 2024 Big Ten Freshman of the Year Natalie Potts, who is returning after a season-ending injury. Several other key players from last year’s roster are also back.
