Thu May 01 13:11:52 UTC 2025: ## Telangana Chief Minister Reshuffles Top Bureaucrats in Office

**Hyderabad, May 1, 2025** – Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has undertaken a significant reshuffle of top bureaucrats within his office, appointing retired bureaucrat K.S. Srinivasa Raju as Principal Secretary. This follows a recent major reshuffle of IAS officers, including the reassignment of Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan after nearly a decade in his previous role.

Mr. Srinivasa Raju’s appointment, alongside the existing Principal Secretary V. Seshadri, has raised eyebrows. The changes also include the transfer of IPS officer Shahnawaz Qasim to head the Telangana Drugs Control Administration and Joint Secretary Sangeeta Satyanarayana to the Health department. Another senior officer, G. Chandrasekhar Reddy, is reportedly leaving the CMO to become the State Information Commissioner.

The Chief Minister’s office cited the need for improved efficiency and workload redistribution as reasons for the changes. Sources suggest the reshuffle aims to streamline file clearances and address coordination issues between officers. The increased number of officers in the CMO, along with a focus on maintaining caste and religious balance in appointments, also contributed to the decision. The government expects the experienced IAS officers in the CMO to facilitate better inter-departmental cooperation.
