NEW DELHI (May 1, 2025) – Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a three-state tour, inaugurating and laying foundation stones for development projects totaling over ₹58,000 crore. The tour, spanning Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Kerala, will showcase India’s commitment to infrastructure development and global engagement.

In Mumbai, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the inaugural World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025, a four-day event aiming to establish India as a global hub for media and digital innovation. Over 10,000 delegates from 90 countries are expected to attend.

On Friday, PM Modi will travel to Kerala to inaugurate the ₹8,900 crore Vizhinjam International Deepwater Multipurpose Seaport, India’s first dedicated container transhipment port. This strategically important port is poised to significantly boost India’s global trade capabilities.

In Andhra Pradesh, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for numerous projects, including seven National Highway projects, railway projects aimed at improving connectivity, and a ₹1,460 crore missile test range at Nagayalanka, enhancing India’s defense capabilities. He will also lay the foundation stone for the ‘PM Ekta Mall’ in Visakhapatnam, designed to promote national integration and support the ‘Make in India’ initiative. The Prime Minister will also address audiences at various events across the three states.
