**Los Angeles, CA** – Amazon Prime Video has announced the upcoming premiere of its new action thriller, “Countdown,” starring Jensen Ackles (“The Boys”) and Eric Dane (“Grey’s Anatomy”). The series, debuting with a three-episode premiere on June 25th, follows LAPD Detective Mark Meachum (Ackles) as he joins a secret task force investigating the daylight murder of a Homeland Security officer. Their investigation quickly uncovers a vast conspiracy threatening millions.
The series, created by Derek Haas, also features a strong supporting cast including Jessica Camacho, Violett Beane, Elliot Knight, and Uli Latukefu. “Countdown” was developed as a starring vehicle for Ackles, whose production company, Chaos Machine (with wife Daneel Ackles), has a first-look deal with Amazon MGM Studios, which also has an overall deal with Haas.
