**Chennai, India –** The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) chairman, V. Narayanan, has predicted that India will be among the world’s leading spacefaring nations by 2040, boasting its own space station. Speaking at the commissioning of a new O-ARM surgical system at Kauvery Hospital in Chennai on Wednesday, Mr. Narayanan revealed that ISRO aims to launch a 52-tonne space station into orbit by 2035. He added that the organization is currently developing a massive rocket, comparable in size to a 40-story building, to facilitate human spaceflight. Beyond space exploration, Mr. Narayanan encouraged doctors to prioritize ethical practices and extend healthcare to rural communities. The new O-ARM technology, lauded by Kauvery Hospital co-founder Aravindan Selvaraj and surgeons, offers enhanced precision in neurosurgery, spine surgery, and orthopedics, promising faster patient recovery.
