**TIRUCHI, Tamil Nadu, April 30, 2025** – Four meticulously crafted panchaloha (five-metal alloy) idols of Adi Shankarcharya, each weighing 37 kg and standing 1.5 feet tall, have been created in Tamil Nadu and are en route to Uttarakhand. The idols, produced by 15 artisans at the Cast in Bronze Creative unit in Thimmakudi village, near Swamimalai, were commissioned by the Sri Hanumad Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust.
The idols, made using the traditional “Lost Wax” process, will be installed at the Kedarnath, Badrinath, and Uttaramanya Jyotirmath temples. The installation at Kedarnath will coincide with the commencement of the 2,532nd Jayanthi celebrations of Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya on May 2nd, lasting five days. Celebrations will continue at Badrinath (May 3rd & 4th), Uttaramnaya Jyotirmath (May 5th), and Bhavishya Badari (May 6th). The idols were shipped on April 27th. Varad Rajh, a ‘Sthapathi’ and proprietor of the unit, oversaw the 40-day creation process.
