**Chennai, May 2, 2025** – A 40-foot container lorry overturned on the Ennore-Manali Expressway near Ramakrishna Nagar junction on Thursday, causing significant traffic disruption for three hours. The lorry, en route from Chennai port to Manali New Town, was driven by 39-year-old Ilanchezhian from Madurai. According to reports, Ilanchezhian lost control of the vehicle, resulting in the accident.
Traffic police responded swiftly, rescuing the driver and transporting him to Government Stanley Hospital for treatment. Cranes were used to remove the overturned lorry, restoring normal traffic flow after a three-hour delay. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
