Thu May 01 00:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Reds-Cardinals Game Postponed, Doubleheader Scheduled for Wednesday
**CINCINNATI, OH** – Due to heavy rain and the threat of severe weather, Tuesday night’s game between the Cincinnati Reds and St. Louis Cardinals at Great American Ball Park has been postponed. The game will be made up as a split doubleheader on Wednesday.
The first game of the doubleheader will begin at 12:40 p.m. ET (11:40 a.m. CT), with the second game starting at 6:40 p.m. ET (5:40 p.m. CT).
Reds’ starter Brady Singer (4-0, 3.62 ERA) will take the mound in the opening game. The Reds, currently on a five-game winning streak, have yet to announce their starter for the nightcap.
The Cardinals will counter with Miles Mikolas (0-2, 5.70 ERA) in Game 1 and Steven Matz (2-0, 1.80 ERA) in Game 2. St. Louis is aiming to avoid one of their worst 30-game starts since the Wild Card era began in 1994.
Mikolas, coming off a strong six-inning shutout against the Braves, will look to improve on his past struggles in Cincinnati. Matz, meanwhile, has enjoyed a strong start to the season, showcasing his versatility in both starting and relief roles.
Fans with tickets to Tuesday’s game can use the same tickets for Wednesday’s doubleheader. Further information is available at reds.com/rainout.
