**Madurai, May 1, 2025** – Actor Vijay, also the founder president of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam party, was greeted by a massive crowd of fans and party members upon his arrival at Madurai airport on Thursday. The actor, who flew in from Chennai for a film shoot in Kodaikanal, was met with an enthusiastic reception despite his flight arriving later than scheduled.
Hundreds gathered at the airport since morning, eager to catch a glimpse of the star. While police cordoned off the area to manage the crowd, many fans broke through, surging towards Vijay’s vehicle as he exited. The actor acknowledged the enthusiastic welcome, waving to his admirers who showered him with flowers and party shawls. Some even sprayed milk on his vehicle.
The large crowd, however, caused significant traffic disruption for over an hour, creating anxious moments for airport passengers and their families. Vijay’s convoy eventually proceeded to Kodaikanal after navigating through the throng of supporters.
