Thu May 01 11:21:57 UTC 2025: ## St. John’s Medical College Celebrates 57th Convocation with High Achieving Graduates

**Bengaluru, May 1, 2025** – St. John’s Medical College in Bengaluru held its 57th annual convocation on April 30th, awarding degrees to 293 students. The ceremony recognized the accomplishments of 147 MBBS graduates, 112 postgraduate students, 31 super-specialty postgraduate students, and three PhD scholars.

The graduating class boasted impressive achievements. Several MBBS students secured top ten ranks in various subjects at the university level. Postgraduate students achieved a 96% pass rate, with 13 securing top ten university ranks, including three gold medalists. Furthermore, the super-specialty program boasted a 100% pass rate, with 15 students ranking in the top five university-wide. In total, St. John’s graduates secured 35 university ranks across various categories.

The convocation ceremony included addresses from notable figures including Yogesh Jain, founder of Sangwari and Jan Swasthya Sahyog; Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao; Fr. Jesudoss Rajamanickam, Director of St John’s National Academy of Health Sciences; and George D’Souza, Dean of St. John’s Medical College.

Since its founding in 1963, St. John’s Medical College has graduated nearly 3,200 undergraduates and 1,300 postgraduates.
