**KOCHI, April 30, 2025** – Three excise officials sustained injuries Monday night following an attack by a 27-year-old man allegedly under the influence of MDMA near the Edappally Toll Junction. Police apprehended Abu Tahir of Kanjirappally, Kottayam, seizing approximately 500mg of MDMA and 50g of ganja from his possession. The incident occurred after officials intercepted Tahir based on a tip-off. He reportedly became violent, prompting officials to request backup to subdue and arrest him. The investigation is ongoing.
