Wed Apr 30 15:12:09 UTC 2025: ## Police Bust Ganja Smuggling Ring at Secunderabad Station

**Hyderabad, April 30, 2025** – A joint operation by the Government Railway Police (GRP), Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TGANB), and Railway Protection Force (RPF) led to the arrest of two men at Secunderabad Railway Station on Tuesday. The men, identified as Mubeen Ahmed Raheem Khan (51) and Nafees Afsar Khan Pathan (32), both from Maharashtra, were carrying 18.87 kg of ganja worth ₹9.43 lakh.

The duo, who work as saree designers, were transporting the contraband from Visakhapatnam to Manmad on behalf of an absconding mastermind, Atiq. Mubeen had previously successfully smuggled ganja twice for Atiq, receiving ₹5,000 per trip. He recruited Nafees for this latest attempt, offering him ₹2,000.

The ganja was received from an unidentified individual in Visakhapatnam. After evading police checks at Kazipet railway station, they travelled to Hyderabad by bus, only to be apprehended at Secunderabad while waiting for a train to Manmad. A case has been registered, and the investigation is underway to apprehend Atiq.
